Are you single? I thought. The honking and Elvis made it hard to formulate my game. It wasn’t that tough of a question but the lengthy hesitation was not helping my cause. Once the roar in my mind went silent I prepared my strategy. My scotch glazed eyes waited for her. Even a pathological liar will quiver in the face of spent desire. OK. I’m ready; I’ll just have a #3, no pickles, I mumbled as she skated away and my radio droned on.

Thoughts for the day..
It is rare that your humble blogster would ever capitulate to the fact that someone could rant more poignantly. However, after perusing the entry below a confession of " I couldn't have written it better myself" is warranted.

War is the tool through which the remaining Constitutional restraints on government and rights of the people will be destroyed. War will be the gateway through which total statism in any of its forms (fascism, socialism, communism) will be imposed upon the United States. They will rally the people’s patriotism, and give the laws Orwellian sounding names like the “Patriot Acts”, and “Freedom Laws” and cries of “America First,” but these acts will be anti-patriotic, anti-freedom, and anti-American. At the core of all these activities will be one purpose –- to impose ever increasing control over the citizens, marching toward total statism. They will suspend due process and Constitutional restrictions proclaiming “extraordinary times” require extraordinary measures. At first they will only be used against a few select atrocious and most heinous individuals with unfamiliar appearance, customs and beliefs. Initially, it will simply be a matter of degree, but the precedent is now set. Extraordinary measures solely for extraordinary individuals, but slowly and then more rapidly the extraordinary will become the ordinary until such measures can apply to anyone. They will deride anyone who opposes these Orwellian acts as dangerously naïve, as pacifists, as isolationists, as unpatriotic, as sympathizing with “the enemy” whoever “the enemy” may be at the time, and as un-American. They will make war with vague, ever changing goals and objectives. They will make war on elusive, obscure enemies by proclaiming wars against “subversives” or “guerillas” or “militias” or “revolutionaries” or “aggressors” or “terrorists” or whatever ambiguous name they can imagine so that the “enemies” will always be elusive, never eliminated or fully defeated. There will always be more “enemies.” War will be perpetual, lasting years or even decades. War will be the final mechanism that destroys America from within; and the people will proudly cheer and defend and support the dismantling of their rights and destruction of their Constitutional Republic, all out of supposed “necessity” to support “the war.”

Visions implode into colors
seeing clearly,first time today.
Never again will dusk escape
my sincere mind's gravity.
Pass the ashen chalkboard;
taking our turn to teach
Walk along this thorny path
Cherish my words, slow.
Worry, others will arrive.
Empty room, caffeine.
Leaving alone again.
Face the glow of night
Rolling my cigarette;
light it, sleep

Sunday, and then some...
Reckless abandon, loosely utilized phrase to describe any activity entered into carelessly or lacking forethought. Mandatory theme for today’s blog post.
Much like the economic situation of 2010- Obama is applying the philosophy of ‘Reckless abandon” last report there has been 4 bill spent on revitalization projects and essentially no jobs created. It seems to this humbled theorist that this would define reckless. Not sure who will be paying that back but it appears more than likely that your grandkids will be taxed more than you were.
Anyone for a diatribe on personal rights?.. Who better to rant than our revered Mr. Jefferson?
"On every question of construction [of the Constitution] let us carry
ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect
the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning
may be squeezed out of the text, or intended against it, conform to the
probable one in which it was passed."
The Authors of our treasured, uniquely American documents are right on the money. It is time to cease bastardizing, compromising, analyzing and urinating on the rights we are all entitled. The elephant in the room of course is personal accountability, our forefathers operated under the presumption that creating a self-sufficient, competent operating system would work hand in hand with a populace who all strive towards the same goals. Regrettably the financial entitlements we have “recklessly” approved have sapped the will, intelligence, work ethic and ethos of a rapidly growing segment of our society.
Life is not about what you have, It is all about what you dream. Sadly dreams have become credit card debt, foreclosures and personal bankruptcy without ramification. Solutions you ask?, With some serious humility I will offer a couple semi-literate options.
1. Everyone, without exception, who is receiving handouts of any kind must submit to, and pay for, a monthly drug screen.
2. Hand-outs will only be extended for a short period. If personal improvements are not forthcoming and the economic situation doesn’t change the state can assign work of their choosing to offset the expenditure.
3. Incentivize new businesses with tax abatements and reduced employment taxes and restrictions.
4. Nationalize medicine.. Not my first choice but since the portability act has now been passed this road will go only one way. We must embrace it and make it sensible to execute.
5. Expand SCORE,SBA to provide instruction for new business owners. Remove SBA administration from the banking community who loan for profit only, without vision.
Enough heavy quasi-political rambling, lets have some fun now.

If I am subjected to one more true crime story on the TV I am addressing personal mail to the network execs begging for the return the Gosslin brood. (not really, just an exaggeration for comedic sake)
Did you hear the well plug worked? At least that’s done. Figured there should be as much good news as bad on the worst disaster ever.. (buying that still?)
Northern crew.. Kudos to the Twinkies best record in MLB since the break.. Can’t wait to see them in the playoffs.
Could “The Town” be the pic that finally allows Ben Affleck to compete with his buddy Damon?.. wait and see-the reviews have been very complementary thus far.
Time to wrap this up- “reckless” continued scribbling can result in boredom.
Have a super week.. Love the one your with. Remember they might be able to do better if you take them for granted. Value your time. For some you know it is shorter then others. Relish the challenges, trials and anxious moments; these make you strong. Lastly, captivate your audience with wisdom and sage advice instead of American Idol or Jersey Shore chatter..The world is overflowing with the inane, set yourself apart.

Tribute to Sunday- Hope everyone in the Quarry is enjoying their Sunday. Hotter than Hades down here in swampland but I’ll leaving the whining for the blizzard watchers in Feb.
Let’s jump quickly on the box of Tide today. Cogitate on this. Do all of the BP haters out there own a bike? Or use public transportation when available? OR just walk? Park those SUV’s and limit those trips to Target. Recognize this is exactly what we deserve. Our dependence on oil causes these catastrophes not big business. They only drill and take risks because we want them to and because they can make $$ doing it. Driving well armored tanks that run at 12 MPG is not a positive. Anyone for 9.00 a gallon gasoline? Just another angle to think about.
Always in groups of three—Rue, we will miss ya.. Most every woman I know loved Golden Girls. Gary Coleman- Another train wreck in the tabloids the last 20 years but he did crack us up as a youthful actor. Hope you will RIP as well.
John Wooden- The Wizard of Westwood... 11 NCAA championships. 99 years of selfless giving to help the sport and players you loved. The sports world owes you big time for all you have shared. Say hello to all the hoop players up there. I am certain they will welcome you with open arms.

Joran arrested in Peru for suspected felonies? Field trips are safe again..Maybe? Hopefully they lock the bastard up this time.
Jersey Shore crew a “nest of herpes” ? never suspected, did you?
Al and Tipper are splitting up? Maybe Tipper was playing 2Live Crew too often..?
Now we can listen to what we want.
A rather benign topic but some serious issues behind the scenes.
Scripps spelling bee just ended. 3rd consecutive year an Indian-American won. Nothing remarkable or interesting about that. However, outside there were protesters.. American protesters… Who were complaining that English words are too difficult to spell and we need to dumb it down so that a higher % of our youth can spell correctly. One example cited was enough should be enuf.. Am I the only one who recognizes irony when it bites you in the backside? If we spelled every word like it sounded we could all have graduated after 2nd grade. How competent would we be as a nation if this were enacted? Crazy. Where do these idiots come from? Meanwhile the Indian-American kids are purposefully studying and learning in order to reach academic goals. We inaccurately conclude that the educational system is failing our children when in actuality it is unadulterated laziness. Teachers facilitate learning, parental involvement ensures positive results.
Someone please tell the Flyers before every series that they are down 2 games already. They may never lose again.
Kobe MAY go down as the greatest player ever 2 more rings and the argument will be over. The Jordan fans will have no choice but to concede.

(EEO statement for the day) Then head for happy hour somewhere and live large. Stay safe and if you can’t do that just stay.. Thanks for being a part.
