Park those SUV’s and limit those trips to Target. Recognize this is exactly what we deserve. Our dependence on oil causes these catastrophes not big business. They only drill and take risks because we want them to and because they can make $$ doing it. Driving well armored tanks that run at 12 MPG is not a positive. Anyone for 9.00 a gallon gasoline? Just another angle to think about.

A rather benign topic but some serious issues behind the scenes.
Scripps spelling bee just ended. 3rd consecutive year an Indian-American won. Nothing remarkable or interesting about that. However, outside there were protesters.. American protesters… Who were complaining that English words are too difficult to spell and we need to dumb it down so that a higher % of our youth can spell correctly. One example cited was enough should be enuf.. Am I the only one who recognizes irony when it bites you in the backside? If we spelled every word like it sounded we could all have graduated after 2nd grade. How competent would we be as a nation if this were enacted? Crazy. Where do these idiots come from? Meanwhile the Indian-American kids are purposefully studying and learning in order to reach academic goals. We inaccurately conclude that the educational system is failing our children when in actuality it is unadulterated laziness. Teachers facilitate learning, parental involvement ensures positive results.
Someone please tell the Flyers before every series that they are down 2 games already. They may never lose again.
